Unmasking Reality: The Power of Information and the Fight for Truth
Social media platforms, while democratizing access to information, have also become battlegrounds for governments to deploy bots, troll armies, and algorithmic manipulation to spread their narratives.

My most recent read is a fantastic book by Yuval Noah Harari called Nexus. It takes us back in time to analyze, and connect to the modern era, how humans built information networks over the centuries—what technologies they used and the purpose these networks served.
An oversimplistic statement, perhaps, but through various historical examples, especially in the first chapters, we clearly see the intricate relationship between information and truth, bureaucracy and mythology, wisdom and power, deep diving into how different societies and political systems have wielded information to achieve their goals and impose order, for both good and ill.
"I have no oxygen" campaign
I won’t go into details, but a recent tragic train crash in my homeland, Greece, is still struggling to find its path to justice. While the conversation remains active, driven by the relentless efforts of families who lost their children and are conducting their own investigations, new evidence continues to emerge. Among the revelations is the possibility that many lives were lost not just because of the crash itself but due to the presence of a potentially illegal and highly flammable chemical cargo in the second train. Apparently this information was kept secret for quite some time and underplayed by the media when became public.
Anyone truly interested in learning more can find numerous sources online, as the movement for justice remains active and continues to resonate far beyond Greek borders. Rallies and demonstrations demanding accountability have spread worldwide, reflecting the shared grief and determination of those seeking the truth and honoring the lives lost.
