Holidays are all about family traditions, and the Christmas season is full of them. But something feels different this year—like a big change is on the horizon. We can all sense it, almost like it’s already here. And while we know it’s coming, the truth is, we’re not quite ready for it—I’m not ready for it.
Managing change isn’t today’s topic, though. Instead, I want to focus on something more fun and lighthearted, like the evolving dynamic of raising an almost-teenager (with another not far behind) and finding ways to tighten our family traditions so they stay meaningful for everyone.

Watching the first YouTube tutorials to learn the rules, and then diving into the game together—it’s one of our favorite ways to connect, compete, laugh, and, yes, sometimes yell or even shed a tear!
