The Why Behind the What: Connecting with Your Personal Purpose
But on the other hand, it’s not rocket science or some sacred space you can’t access. In my experience, the first step is always the hardest—it takes courage and the willingness to look in the mirror and start connecting the dots.

A few years back, all these soft conversations—especially in a corporate setup—felt weird, awkward, and, some might say, entirely out of scope. I think is a natural consequence of the emotional awakening of newer generations that influenced the society and the corporations in a meaningful way connecting this fundamental human need: the desire to channel our energy and our lives into activities that truly matter. I'm sure my dad and mum never spent a minute or a dime worrying about these things.
Nonetheless, many would argue that this trend is just another buzzword, a shallow attempt to attract talent or boost engagement scores (at least in the corporate setup). But I’d argue that’s not entirely true. Having been both behind the scenes and on the front lines of many of these initiatives, I’ve found them to be genuine and inspiring—provided you’re willing to engage with them on a personal level.
Eventually, you realize that if you play your part well, you can be the catalyst that influences your team, your peers, and those around you. And within this small group, your purpose will naturally find its way.
Taking a step back, finding and connecting with your purpose is not always straightforward, nor is it a one-time effort. And you know what? You might not be ready for it at first. But on the other hand, it’s not rocket science or some sacred space you can’t access. In my experience, the first step is always the hardest—it takes courage and the willingness to look in the mirror and start connecting the dots.
