When Brian texted me during the week for an evening intellectual talk (in the premiere of the Euro Cup), I hesitated at first.

However when I joined the link, I was captivated by the subject. The neuroscientist Kevin Mitchell argues that 'we are not mere machines responding to physical forces – we are agents acting with purpose'.

Basic right?

Maybe not, as flags, alarms and bells were popping to my head - connecting my need to learn, my relationship with a friend and myself as the priority for this week.
