Growing Pains: The Ups and Downs of My Early Career Failures.
I felt trapped and overwhelmed by a deep sense of disengagement and dissatisfaction. It became clear that I couldn't arrive on time, and I realized I wasn't willing to sacrifice my good night's sleep or any of my 'precious' summer time.
A weekend well spent in the Greek mountains with two of my closest friends unveiled numerous unique conversations. Such depth of interaction is often missing in the more 'traditional' coffee shop setting, where time pressures, unnecessary noise, and distractions often prevent deeper connections.
In that moment, we found ourselves strolling down memory lane, reminiscing about past jobs and tasks we had undertaken when we were younger. We tried to capture all the small, fun stories that played a role in shaping who we are today, sparking the idea to share some of these experiences here.
This 'exercise' turned out to be quite enjoyable, unearthing many forgotten moments of bravery and cowardice, youthful agility, and a certain carelessness. After all summer in Greece in the majority of the cases can provide the perfect platform for this type of exploration.
