The idea for this article started few days ago from a simple question a colleague asked me: What’s your approach to influencing people? My quick answer was, You’ve got to build trust first. That got me thinking about how I actually build trust, especially in a business setting.

Trust is not given lightly—it’s earned through consistent actions, transparency, and delivering on promises. This realization shaped the core of my approach to influence, where credibility and authenticity are paramount.

Going a bit back to my recent reading list, at the heart of every human interaction lies an unbreakable connection between behavior and communication. These two elements shape not only how we present ourselves to the world but also how we influence and are influenced by others. From our earliest moments, we learn to navigate life through a combination of actions and expressions. Whether through words, gestures, or unspoken cues, our behavior and communication become the core drivers of our relationships and social dynamics.
