Beyond the Office: Three Future-proof Career Choices for every (Next) Generation
From family point of view the familiar script was/is - excel in school, attend college, secure a decent job —once the public sector, now the corporate world— and start a family.
I might attract some criticism for this post (or hate), but truthfully, my views on work, career, and ultimately money have significantly shifted over the past few years, in that particular order.
As an HR professional, one might assume that this grants me a leg up, a readiness to be proactive, and a real insight into steering my own children (or any child) towards the future of work. However, my response is a resounding NO. I believe the only edge I might hold is a certain insight into the corporations 'backstage' and a sense of self-awareness, which, arguably, can be developed regardless of one's profession or background.
